The Life That Fits
We're so glad you are here.
We See You
You are good at this.
You always have been.
You show up, you handle it, you hold it together, or you try to, even when the trying is starting to cost more than you have. You have spent so long making sure everything keeps running that you have started running yourself out of the picture.
Maybe your life looks fine from the outside. Maybe the cracks are starting to show. Maybe you are somewhere in between, holding it together in some areas and quietly unraveling in others.
What you share with the women who will be in this room is not a particular appearance. It is a particular pattern.
You have been doing more than is sustainable for longer than you want to admit. You have been overriding your own needs, your body, your desires, your sense of what is actually true for you, in order to keep meeting the expectations, filling the roles, and being the person everyone counts on.
That pattern has a name.
Over-functioning.
And it does not care whether it is visible or invisible. It does not care
whether you look polished or exhausted. It just keeps running.
You are capable. You are responsible. You are someone who shows up.
And you are carrying more than is yours to carry.
That is not a failure of will. That is what happens when you have been the capable one for a very long time, and the pattern that once helped you has started to cost you more than it gives.
We know this woman.
We have been her.
We have sat with her, walked alongside her, and spent years doing this process with her. We know what it costs. We know what it asks. And we know what is possible on the other side of it.
This is our calling. And this retreat is for you.
Close Your Eyes For A Moment
You land in Costa Rica and we are there waiting for you. You do not have to navigate or figure anything out. You are met from the moment you arrive.
That first evening, you sit around a table with the other women. Something happens in that room that you did not expect. Your shoulders drop. Your jaw unclenches. Your breath, without you asking it to, comes a little slower and a little deeper. There is a quality in this space, in being surrounded by women who understand without needing an explanation, that allows you to exhale in a way you have not exhaled in a very long time.
You do not have to manage how you are received here. You do not have to hold yourself in any particular way. For the first time in longer than you can remember, you are simply held.
You go to sleep that night and something in your body already knows this week is going to ask something real of you. And something else, something quieter, already knows you are ready.
The next morning, we head south together along the Pacific coast. The city gives way to mountains, mountains give way to jungle, jungle opens onto coastline that fills your chest. The landscape shifts and something in you shifts with it. By the time we arrive at the retreat property, you have already been traveling inward for hours.
The week moves through you more
than you move through it.
What This Is
The Life That Fits is an 8-day immersive retreat in Costa Rica for women who are ready to stop overriding themselves, reconnect with what is actually true, and return home with a direction that finally fits.
This retreat goes deeper than a wellness vacation. It is a professionally held, body-led experience designed to help you slow down enough to hear yourself again, and stay with what you find.
You will move through daily somatic practice, guided reflection, honest conversation, and integration, in a setting that gives your nervous system enough room to actually exhale. Excursions are woven into the week not as activities but as living encounters with what becomes possible when something is allowed to be fully itself.
You will be asked to stay with yourself. We will hold the rest.
Why Costa Rica
I was thirteen years old the first time I went to Costa Rica.
I was there on an exchange program, a thirteen-year-old girl landing in a country she had never seen, and something happened the moment I arrived that I have never been able to fully explain and have never stopped trying to honor. I knew I was in a place where I belonged. Not visiting. Not passing through. Belonging. At thirteen, I did not have language for what that felt like in my body. I just knew I was not leaving the same way I arrived.
I kept going back.
Through different seasons of my life, through the corporate career, through everything that came with being a high-functioning woman in a high-demand world, I kept returning to Costa Rica. It has become my second home in the truest sense of the words. I live there part of the year now, with my partner. I have family there. I have friends there. I have a home there.
What Costa Rica has always given me is this: it helps you understand the true meaning of nature and connection. The people smile, genuinely. The country holds you. It has what you need, and it has always had what I needed, in every season of my life I have brought myself there.
There is a difference between a retreat facilitated by someone who has visited a beautiful place and one facilitated by someone who belongs there. I am not bringing you somewhere I discovered. I am bringing you into a world I have lived in for over thirty years, where I know the people, understand the culture, feel the land, and can show you the kind of beauty that takes a lifetime of returning to know how to find.
That is what I am offering you. Not a retreat in a beautiful country.
An invitation into a place that has been healing me since I was thirteen years old.
And the land itself is unlike anywhere else on Earth. Costa Rica holds nearly ten percent of the Earth's entire biodiversity in one tiny country. In a single day you can move from jungle to cloud forest to ocean to mountain. The animals that feel exotic to us, the macaws nesting in the trees overhead, the toucans, the parrots, the creatures of every shape and size going about their lives as if they have always been there, because they have, are simply the ordinary fabric of daily life there.
Being in a place where life is that abundant, that unapologetic, that completely itself, does something to a woman who has been overriding herself for years. Nature at that scale does not hold itself back. It just is.
I bring women to Costa Rica always. We travel to beautiful and meaningful places around the world, and every one of those experiences matters. But I will always, always come back to Costa Rica, because there is nothing like being guided somewhere by a person who does not just know it, but loves it, belongs to it, and wants to bring you into what it has meant to her entire life.
Valerie
The Setting
The retreat property sits in the rainforest above Uvita, overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
When you arrive, you feel the quality of the place before you can name it. The rooms are airy and simple, with jungle views and the sounds of the forest coming in from every direction. The materials are local, the design is grounded, and the spaces between buildings are as intentional as the buildings themselves. Outdoor studios open to the trees. Waterfalls and river pools right on the property, available to you throughout the week as practices in presence, not just recreation.
This is eco-luxury in the truest sense, where luxury means space to breathe, not performance or polish. Meals are shared together under open sky. Evenings bring stars, the sounds of the jungle, and the particular quiet that comes from being somewhere genuinely remote from the noise of ordinary life.
Your room is yours. The property is yours. The pace is yours.
Nothing here asks anything of you except to be present.
November timing is intentional.
Before the holiday season asks you to give everything to everyone else,
you come back to yourself first.
The Experience
This week is not built around what you will do. It is built around what becomes possible when you finally have the time and space to rest, to move with intention, to be in nature, to sit with women who understand, and to hear yourself clearly.
The experiences of the week emerge from that foundation. They are not the point. They are what happens when the container is right.
Rest and Spaciousness
There is genuine unstructured time built into every day. Time at the property, in the hammock, at the pool, at the waterfalls, in the garden. Time that belongs to you and asks nothing. For women who have not experienced this in years, the first taste of it can feel disorienting, and then it feels like coming home.
Movement and somatic practice
Allie curates and leads all movement throughout the week. Her sessions are designed to ask your body what it has been holding rather than demand something from it. Valerie leads daily meditations and workshops that give language and integration to what is surfacing. The two weave together so that what you feel in your body and what you understand in your life begin to speak to each other.
Nature as medicine
The waterfall hikes are steps from where you sleep. The jungle is your backdrop. The ocean is close. One afternoon you walk Bahia Ballena beach, the famous whale tail formation, playing in the sand and being somewhere beautiful with no agenda. One morning is given to tai chi as a moving meditation, the felt difference between force and flow. The land here does its own work on you, quietly, all week long.
Living examples with the world around you
We visit the Boruca Indigenous Village, where a community transformed what was done to them into their most celebrated art. We spend time at a local cacao farm, receiving the full ceremonial journey of cacao from tree to cup. These are not sightseeing stops. They are living encounters with what it looks like to name what shaped you, and make something meaningful with it.
What You Will Leave With
Not a list of things to do differently.
A different relationship to yourself.
A clearer understanding of what no longer fits, in your roles, your patterns, your identity, your life. Language for the over-functioning patterns that have been running you, and genuine compassion for why they developed. A deeper relationship with your body as a source of truth rather than something to push through. Renewed access to what you actually want, what brings you joy, and what you have been putting aside.
One grounded, aligned change you are ready to carry home.
A 30-day integration plan so the retreat becomes a real shift, not a temporary high.
A community of women who know exactly where you were when you arrived, and what you came back with.
Your Facilitators
Valerie Pedigo | Renewed Spirit Adventures
Before building Renewed Spirit Adventures, Valerie spent over 20 years as a banking executive. She was genuinely great at it, and she genuinely loved it – the people, the relationships, the challenge, the sense of purpose that comes from being trusted with something important. Those years gave her experiences and connections she is deeply grateful for.
She also knows the other side.
The moment the corporate world began asking her to compromise who she was. The slow erosion of self that happens when you keep saying yes to the expectations and no to the quiet voice underneath them. The particular exhaustion of being capable and seen – and still feeling that you are disappearing.
That experience lives in her work now as a precise understanding of what it costs to perform a version of yourself for long enough that you lose track of where the performance ends.
Her own path has been one of finding her way back – to her body, to her truth, to the life that is actually hers. Her approach is grounded, trauma-informed, and deeply practical. She will not tell you what your life should look like. She will help you hear what it is actually asking for.
This is her calling.
Allie Greene | Soma Movement
Before becoming a licensed social worker, trauma-focused therapist, and Registered Somatic Movement Educator/Therapist (RSME/T), Allie was a professional dancer. She loved the stage, the audience, and the aliveness of movement.
She also knows the other side: the discipline, striving, and pressure to perform. What it is like to live in a body expected to keep going, producing, and pleasing, even when something inside is asking for something else.
That experience lives in her work now as a deep, embodied understanding of the relationship between the body, performance, and expectation.
Her own path has been one of coming home to herself, learning to listen, soften perfection, and build a more compassionate relationship from the inside out. This is the process she guides others through, with the presence and care needed to hold it.
The space she creates is one where you do not have to perform or get anything right. You are invited to stay with yourself.
This is the heart of her work.
Together
Allie & Valerie bring their full individual practices into a shared container. Both trauma-informed, both working somatically, the depth and range of skill present in this retreat makes for a rich and professionally held week.

The Deeper Return
For women who want even more personal support, more restoration, and a more spacious experience of the week.
Everything in the retreat is included, plus:
The Adrenal Reset
Over-functioning runs on stress hormones. When your body has been in high-output mode for a long time, the system that regulates your energy, your sleep, your stress response, and your sense of aliveness begins to lose its natural rhythm. You may know this feeling as exhaustion that rest does not fix, or a wired-but-tired state that follows you even into downtime. The Adrenal Reset is a private, guided session designed to support your body's recovery from long-term chronic output, restore your natural energy rhythms, and help your nervous system find its way back to genuine rest. It is not a medical treatment. It is a deeply restorative practice that works with your body rather than pushing through it.
Private Life Mapping with Human Design with Valerie
A private session in which Valerie uses your Human Design chart as a living map of who you actually are, how you are designed to make decisions, where you give your energy away, and what alignment looks and feels like specifically for you.
Private Somatic Experience with Allie
A private session with Allie designed to go deeper into what has surfaced for you during the week. What your body has been holding, what it is ready to release, and what it needs in order to integrate. Held with full clinical care and somatic precision.
An Extra Curated Day
An additional day of personalized experience curated specifically for you, designed to extend the retreat's depth and give you more time to integrate before returning home.

Something In You Already Knows It Is Time
Not to fix everything. Not to burn it all down. Just to stop overriding yourself long enough to hear what is actually true.
Imagine yourself on the last evening in Uvita.
The week is behind you. You are somewhere quiet, watching the light change over the Pacific. Your body feels different than it did eight days ago. Not “fixed,” not transformed in some performed way, but cleaner. Lighter. More like yourself than you have felt in years.
You know what you are going home to. And you know what you are leaving behind.
That is the life that fits.
It is waiting for you in Costa Rica.
November 7 through 14, 2026.
